St. Lucy’s priory High School
2021 Scholarships and Funding

MOTHER AUGUSTA PARLE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: 
The Benedictine Guild established this scholarship in 1992 as a tribute to Mother Augusta Parle, the first prioress.   Mother Augusta spearheaded the purchase of this Glendora property and the establishment of St. Lucy’s Priory in 1952 and St. Lucy’s Priory High School in 1962. Honoring Mother Augusta Parle, we award Anaiah Lightner.

SR. SERENA STEIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: 
This scholarship was established in 2002 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of St. Lucy’s Priory High School and to honor and pay tribute to Sister Serena who was the first Principal.  She often after her principalship, visited, walked the halls, and helped where needed. Sr. Serena joined her God in February 2007.  In remembrance of Sr. Serena, we recognize Margaret Nelson.
SR. MONICA COLLINS  SCHOLARSHIP: 
This scholarship was established in 2012, which recognized the Golden 50th Anniversary of St. Lucy’s Priory High School in recognition and honor of Sr. Monica’s enduring leadership as Principal, for she served for over 30 years.  This award is presented to honor Sr. Monica, St. Lucy’s Principal Emeritus. In her honor, we recognize Maya Arnouk.

ALUMNAE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: 
This scholarship was established to honor the memories of graduates from the past fifty years who have passed away – and we keep alive their spirits with this tribute. It is presented to a junior for her outstanding academic achievements and school activities. We tribute to our alumnae and present this scholarship to: McCall Zeutizius.

ELIZABETH FRYKE SCHOLARSHIP:
This scholarship was established in 2003 by her family to celebrate 20 years of service and dedication to St. Lucy’s Priory High School as Director of Development. We present this scholarship to: Saundri Luipold.

LU CRONIN SCHOLARSHIP:
This Scholarship was founded by the entire family and funeral donations in memory of Lu Cronin, who wore a smile and a pocket-full of jokes. Lu was also a longtime supporter of the Benedictine Guild and employee of St. Lucy’s who passed away in 2018 at the age of 91. In her memory we present this scholarship to Lyndsay Martins.
