Alumnae Association President's Welcome
Hello Regent Family!
Let me start off with wishing all of you a wonderful start to the school year and many blessings to you and your families.
My name is Aimee Jones Castillejo and I am an alumna of St Lucy’s Priory High School class of 1988. Like many of you, my connection goes beyond my years as a student; my sister is a graduate of the class of 1996 and my daughter is a current sophomore—class of 2025. The San Gabriel Valley is home and where my husband of 16 years, Jeff, and I have chosen to raise our two kids, Riley and Adam.
After graduating from St Lucy’s, I attended UC Riverside and majored in Psychobiology. From there I earned my nursing degree from Chaffey College and continued after to receive a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Azusa Pacific University. Between raising a family and establishing my career, I pursued a master’s degree in nursing with an emphasis in nursing leadership from Western University of Health Sciences. I have been a registered nurse for the past 23 years and have worked my entire career serving this community.
As we celebrate St. Lucy’s 60th Diamond Anniversary, I reflect on what it means to be part of our Regent community; a community of over 7,000+ graduates. Legacy, friendship, and mentorship immediately surface as reasons why I feel St Lucy’s is so special, so unique and must continue to thrive. St Lucy’s is space where we can empower young women to aspire to do great things and be filled with confidence to take on the world ahead. Our community and our world need a place like St. Lucy’s; we as a Regent family need a place like St Lucy’s.
I have been honored to be appointed the inaugural President of the St Lucy’s Alumnae Association and have been charged with looking at the present with the dream of building an alumnae community that is vibrant and diverse. We as alumnae are all being charged with growing and building a legacy for the next group of young women that walk the halls of our beloved campus. We are all being asked to share our talents and skills, to lift each other up as leaders of tomorrow. I can’t wait to discover and build this legacy with all of you. Join me in supporting our Regent family as family members do; with love, hope, and perseverance that the future is bright and our motto of Light, Truth, Peace lives on another 60 years.
