Track & Field CIF Prelims competed this weekend, where the Regents sent an impressive nine athletes to compete.
The 4x 100 team ran a season best time with Francesca Castro, Sophia Caldera-Imel, Keira Garvey and Emma Ramirez.
The 4 x 400 team finished prelims in 5th and has advanced to next weekend's Finals. (Castro, Caldera-Imel, Ramirez and Madi Lopez)
Coming off a very impressive two event win at Baseline League Finals (first Regent to do so in 10+ years), Sophia Caldera-Imel advanced in both the 200m and 400m.
Senior Francesca Castro has also advanced on to Finals in the 400.
Junior Brooklyn Baylor ran a lettering time in the 3200 and Senior Maricela Arroyo threw just over 98 feet in the discus.
Regents competed two pole vaulters in prelims, with Junior Sarah Tripp advancing on to finals in a tie for the high mark on the day, and Senior Mia Bertone is currently an alternate for finals.
Great job this weekend at CIF prelims and best of luck as we move on to the Finals next weekend.
