The SLPHS Dance Team had their first competition of the season this weekend at Monrovia Highschool. For the first competition, the SLPHS Dance Team placed well in many of their categories. Dance Captain, Noelle Chakbazof placed 1st overall in the senior elite lyrical solo. Rachel Boyle placed 1st overall in lyrical solo, Amber Garcia placed 3rd overall in the contemporary solo category, Sherlyne Limon-Venegas placed runner up in the hip hop solo category, and Lindsay Leano placed 2nd overall in the jazz solo category.
The lyrical trio dance placed 1st overall, and the large jazz group dance placed 2nd overall against 6 different teams.
