Tribute, Memorial and Honorarium Gifts

Honorarium Tributes: Show your appreciation for the dedication of St. Lucy's teachers, the achievements of students and alumna, or the commitment of staff by making an honorarium gift. Your contribution supports the school and lets them know you care. Donate online, by phone, or by mail. Kindly provide the name of the person(s) you are honoring, and if available, their mailing address or a family member’s address, so we may inform them of your generous contribution.

Memorial Tributes: Families may choose to direct memorial gifts to St. Lucy's in memory of a cherished alumna or staff member. These gifts will support our students and carry on their legacy. Please indicate the name of your tribute in the comment section of the giving page.

Named Scholarships: Empower St. Lucy’s students by establishing a named scholarship through various means, such as one-time donations and multi-year pledges. Sr. Monica Collins, OSB
Sr. Monica was known for her service in education in the San Diego and San Gabriel Valley regions.  She was called to teach English and Religion at St. Lucy’s Priory High School in September, 1972 for 8 years, until she became Principal in 1980 and served 33 years of recognizable leadership.  
During her era as leader, student education and drive saw 100% college enrollment and attendance, introduction into the teacher and student computer and technological era, Fine Arts Department with great art, theater, Musical and choral production, and a growth into a strong and challenging sports program that resulted in a memorable collection of well-deserved CIF banners. 
Sr. Monica’s credentials include a BA in English from the University of San Diego, MA in English from Loyola Marymount University and an MA in Secondary Educational Leadership from the University of San Francisco.
Sr. Monica is remembered for her understanding and care for all members of the school community.  She guided the entire staff and student body into a community of caring individuals who challenged each other into growth as a spiritual individual and as a member of the larger Church and world society.  Her kindness, understanding and compassion touched students, teachers, parents and guests.
