Ms. Cota joined the Regent Family in August, 2024. Prior to joining St. Lucy’s, Ms. Cota provided academic, intervention and social emotional counseling services at Redondo Union High School. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Azusa Pacific University, a Masters Degree in Educational Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential from University of Southern California.
Ms. Cota is passionate about utilizing her education and personal life experiences to engage, advocate and support her students. She seeks to guide her students toward effective coping skills, personal, social/emotional, academic and post-secondary, success. Ms. Cota does so by listening and creating an open and safe place to share thoughts and feelings that are met with compassion, connection, trust and authenticity.
Ms. Cota has a variety of hobbies and interests including; going to the gym, doing Yoga, KickBoxing, watching Sports, and spending time with family and friends.
