St. Lucy’s Debate Team competed at the 2024 Golden Desert Debate Tournament at the University of Nevada Las Vegas Feb. 2-4, 2024. Although, Regents didn’t make it to the Quarter final round, they did great overall and improved their competition skills.
Andrea Galvan and Leah Ileto were 3-2, while Chanel Do and Lexi Gonzalez were 2-3 win-loss in the prelims round with 29 teams competing in the Novice category.
Thank you to Mr. Paredes and to their Damien coaches and teammates. The Debate team will be heading to UC Berkeley in a couple of weeks for another tournament.
