First 8th Grade Shadow Visit Of The 2014-2015 School Year Is A Success! »
On Friday, September 19, 2014, 27 eighth grade girls from 11 different private and public junior highs attended a St. Lucy’s Shadow Visit to experience firsthand what it is like to be a St. Lucy’s Regent. The eighth graders were hosted by 5 seniors (Ilianna Almada, Halli Barrios, Emily Gutierrez, Ashley Jaworoski, Lesley Villalva) and 3 juniors (Jessica Haddad, Antoinette Mendoza, Delaney Sissung). They received a tour of the campus, met teachers and students, attended the first school mass of the year, and enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch. The visit concluded in the Regent Resource Center with a Parent Q & A Session where families met the Administration, Dean of Curriculum, Athletic Director, and the Director of Public Relations and Enrollment. At the conclusion of the visit, one student from Holy Angels School in Arcadia told her mother, “Let’s send in my application now. I’m going to St. Lucy’s!” We look forward to the remaining four Shadow Visits!
