Message from St. Lucy's

Dear St. Lucy’s Family,

Our school as well as numerous other schools, churches and nonprofits were notified by Blackbaud, Inc, our third-party database service provider, about a data security incident that may have included some of your contact information. St. Lucy’s Priory High School has a contractual agreement with Blackbaud, which is the leading fundraising software company for nonprofits and organizations. On behalf of the Board of Directors, St. Lucy’s takes the protection and proper use of your information very seriously, and therefore we are contacting you as a precautionary step to share about the incident.

While the digital world has advanced our society in so many ways, these developments have also paved the way for cyberattacks. The cybercriminal did not access your credit card information, bank account information, or social security number. However, Blackbaud has determined that the file removed may have contained your contact information, demographic information, and a history of your relationship with our organization. Based on the nature of the incident, their research, and third party (including law enforcement) investigation, we have no reason to believe that any data went beyond the cybercriminal, was or will be misused, or will be disseminated or otherwise made available publicly.

Blackbaud has reported that they paid the ransom in exchange to confirm the data the cybercriminals removed had been destroyed. This notice is for your information and you do not need to take any further action. We will continue to monitor Blackbaud’s situation closely.

We understand how these notices can be upsetting and inconvenient especially during uncertain times. Please know we are grateful for your ongoing support. The impact of your gifts gives us the fortitude to continue fulfilling our mission to educate and empower your daughters.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Advancement at (626) 963-0017 or
