Parent Participation Program
The school has always been honest about the fact that tuition does not cover the cost of educating the students. The Parent Participation Program was established to subsidize this cost. The program promotes a sense of community among the parents as they work together in support of their daughters and their education. Consequently, the workload is shared so that no one is overburdened.

Mandatory Requirements
Every family is required to do 20 hours of service per school year (10 for single parents). Also required is participation in the two major fundraisers, Boutique and BASH.

Service Hours

Each hour of the twenty required hours is equivalent to $15.00, with a yearly total of $300 per family ($150 for single-parent families). Therefore, if parents are unable to volunteer, they are required to donate money in lieu of their time. However, the goal of the plan is to secure participation and not donation payments. The volunteer hours or payment is part of the parents' financial contract. Parent Participation Forms must be filled out and submitted each year as part of the registration procedures.

Parents who do not complete the required volunteer hours (senior parents by May 1st and others by May 26th) will be billed through the Development Office at the rate of $20 per hour missed.

Parents will be assessed a late fee or penalty for failing to make the mandatory obligations to Boutique and BASH. A $15.00 late fee will be added if the obligation is not recieved by the announced deadline. Fees will be added to the financial obligations that are required to be cleared for exams and grades.

If a family fails to meet the requirements for hours, Boutique or BASH, the student will not be cleared for final exams and grades.

Volunteer Opportunities

Service hours can be accrued through the following opportunities: Bookstore Day, dance chaperones, Parent Barbecue, Boutique, Golf Tournament, yard sales, Ecology Days, event parking, Development Office clerical assistance, athletic events, telephoning, BASH, Musical, Drama events and Graduation. Miscellaneous donations are welcome.

Parents are responsible for signing in and out each time they volunteer.

Chairpersons are needed for each event and receive 20 hours credit.
