Please join us for a Thanksgiving Prayer Service prepared by St. Lucy's Priory High School ASB, Benedictine Leaders and student volunteers.

Hi and welcome to this 2020 Thanksgiving prayer service. This year even though we cannot celebrate traditionally by having a mass we will be doing a litany prayer instead. We hope you can all join and pray with us. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. For the creation of our beautiful world and the beauty of life, we thank you oh Lord. For the blessing of peace within our relationships and for peace throughout the whole world, we thank you oh Lord. For saving us and bringing new life and breath upon us each day, we thank you oh Lord. For creating us in your image and likeness, we thank you oh Lord. For revealing yourself to us oh God everyday in every way, we thank you God For the church Bishop O'Connell, all the people in the clergy, and the people of faith who inspire us, we thank you oh Lord. For our beautiful country, our freedoms, and for those who work to keep us safe, we thank you oh Lord. For our St. Lucy's community of faculty, staff, administration, students, and parents and our ability to remain connected during these trying times, we thank you oh Lord. For the Benedictine sisters that their faithful light continues to shine and grace us each day, we thank you oh Lord. For the opportunity to do your work for the good of our community, we thank you oh Lord. For the ability to continue your education as intellectuals especially through our technological resources, we thank you oh Lord. For all of our families that we grow closer to them each day and give thanks for all the blessings we have received together, we thank you oh Lord. For the health and safety of all our loved ones, we thank you for the Lord. For the friendships we hold close to our hearts and those where there may be distance, for the lessons we have learned, and the goals we have accomplished as a result of the relationships and people you have placed in our life, we thank you oh Lord. For all the doctors, scientists working to stop the spread of COVID-19 and for all the First Responders and essential workers that are working for us all every day, we thank you oh Lord. For the gifts of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we thank you oh Lord. Para los sacramentos que nos acercan a ti y que algún podremos celebrar durante este tiempo, te damos gracias Señor. For the Forgiveness God extends to all of us, that we are able to extend God's light in our forgiveness of others, we thank you oh Lord. For those moments of reflection during the quarantine that help us return to you, we thank you oh Lord. For times of challenge that help us grow in virtue and holiness, we thank you oh Lord.
