Development
The 2010-11 school year promises to have many wonderful opportunities to make new friends and become involved at St. Lucy’s High School. Our 48-year tradition of excellence depends on each family fulfilling their obligations to our Parent Participation program. Your support in this area is essential.
Parents and guardians are required to donate 20 hours of service during the school year, 10 hours for a one-parent family - please call the Development Office to see if you qualify. Each hour of service will be worth $20.00 and all hours must be completed by May 29th, parents of seniors by April 16 - or you will be billed at the rate of $20.00 per hour after the above dates. However, the goal of this program is to secure your participation and not your donation dollars. There are many ways you can fulfill your commitment – just ask!
You are also required to make two donations during the year one to our Holiday Boutique and one to our BASH dinner auction. These are explained in detail in our St. Lucy’s Parent Bulletin. Also, every student is required to sell raffle tickets which will be distributed on October 6, 2010. (No replacement of lost tickets, all tickets must be sold!)
There will be a sign-in sheet attached to a clipboard at all functions during the year and you must sign in upon arrival and sign out when leaving in order to assure you receive credit for time worked. If you volunteer at sporting events, drama, Kiwins, yearbooks, etc. please use the form in your school handbook.
We encourage you to attend the Parents Club meetings to meet new friends and keep informed of school activities. Perfect Attendance at the Sept. - Dec. meetings will qualify you for a drawing of $500.00 to be applied toward tuition. A second chance at $1,000.00 towards tuition begins at our January parent club meeting/BASH kickoff, for perfect attendance Jan.- May.
